They make their leather out of Bio Polyols, elements derived from plant materials that do not divert resources necessary for food farms or animal feed. The leather contains more than 50% of BIO content, coming from renewable sources. The main raw material Bio Polyols is produced with is Field Corn. It’s not viable for human consumption thus its use does not impact the price of edible produce.
The raw material for Bio Polyol has a smaller environmental footprint than its petroleum-based alternatives, saving CO2 emissions. Coronet also uses water-based materials such as aliphatic waterborne resins, which are eco friendly and offer a look and feel very close to natural leather, and is softer to the touch.
Coronet uses low environmental impact LED illumination in their facilities.
